Breakthrough NP BrandingHow about winning $100,000 for your nonprofit organization or one that you support? That’s not chunk change, my friends. Any nonprofit would welcome the cash to do more of its mission.

Well, my marketing pal and fellow Canuck, Jocelyne Daw, and her co-authors Carol Cone, Kristian Darigan Merenda, and Anne Erhard are the writers behind the new book, Breakthrough Nonprofit Branding: Seven Principles to Power Extraordinary Results. I am proud to say that I provided a testimonial on the back cover. It is an excellent resource.

The authors just announced a contest – with a first prize of US$100,000 worth of free advertising space in USA TODAY. A panel of charity industry leaders will evaluate entrants based on their effectiveness in marketing, communications and social impact, and on how the first prize will impact their organization. The public will then vote on the ten finalists to decide which North American organization will walk away with the first place prize.

Wow! Now, that’s a cool promotion.
